Dog run fundraiser exceeded expectations

Coast Guard gets dogs thru donation

Dog owners trooped to the Philippine Coast Guard Headquarters in Manila on Thursday to voluntarily donate their pets to the PCG K9-Unit. Lieutenant Commander Armando Balilo, PCG spokesman and deputy chief of staff for community relations said that many responded to their call to busy people to donate their pet dogs for training in the K9 unit.

Saying Goodbye: BPD K-9 drug dog dies

Cooper, a K-9 drug dog who had been with the Bartlesville Police Department a little under three years, died on Monday. He was 3 years old.

When your dog bites

A few minutes ago, my dog bit someone. A tiny bite, but it feels awful to be the owner in that situation. That it happened was fully my responsibility. Sometimes (not this time), a dog bite is caused by the victim. But so often, the focus of blame goes on the dog, when it shouldn't.
