Mattie: In memory of a�very special dog

Mattie's story begins 10 years ago, when special education teacher Debbie Tomisek bought the pup. "I knew right away she was special," the Oak Forest woman recalled. She began training Mattie to be a therapy dog, sharing her pet's services with sick, grieving and impaired children and adults. Now, Mattie's many fans are saddened by her recent passing.

Charity dog walk held in memory of Charlotte Hall

A MOTHER whose daughter committed suicide has held a charity dog walk in her memory. Charlotte Hall, 37, overdosed on drugs in November last year, after battling with bipolar disorder (manic depression) for eight years. Charlotte was buried on what would have been her 38th birthday.
